Is Jack in season 2 of 3 Body Problem?
No. Jack Rooney is dead before season 2 begins. He is killed by Tatiana in episode 3 of season 1, in his own kitchen, and that murder is the first moment the show makes the Trisolaran threat feel physically lethal rather than abstract. Season 2 jumps forward into the Dark Forest era, so Jack simply isn't part of its living timeline.
