Event Description
After the Doomsday Battle, the handful of human warships that escaped the battlefield became targets of Trisolaran pursuit. A Droplet probe was dispatched to hunt down the fleeing fleet. The Blue Space, as a member of the fleeing fleet, was engaged in a long and desperate voyage through deep space.
During the journey, the Blue Space's sensors detected an anomalous region of space. Through cautious exploration, they discovered it was a fragment of four-dimensional space — a remnant of the universe's higher-dimensional structure. Crew members crossed into this four-dimensional space and underwent sensory experiences humanity had never imagined: in four-dimensional space, the internal structure of three-dimensional objects was completely exposed, as if everything had been "unfolded." The interior of human bodies, every component of the ship, even the contents of sealed containers were all laid bare.
This discovery provided a decisive tactical advantage. When the pursuing Droplet approached, the Blue Space exploited the properties of four-dimensional space to launch an attack against it. In four-dimensional space, the Droplet's seemingly indestructible strong-interaction surface could be "bypassed" — accessing the interior of its three-dimensional structure directly from the fourth dimension. The crew successfully destroyed the Droplet, marking humanity's first victory against Trisolaran technology. The existence of the four-dimensional space fragment also hinted at a profound cosmic truth: the universe had once been of higher dimensions, and dimensional reduction might be a weapon of cosmic-scale warfare.
